Links to writing including Fic
links to my reviews of Longmire: Horses Guns and Indians and Alphas - Alpha Dogs .

Also there was reveals for Not PrimeTime Ficathon and I really unsurprisingly wrote:
A Leaf in the Stream
Kara/Sam. PG
In which they are stranded on New Caprica during the Exodus and have to find their own way out of there.

Raise your hand if you're surprised by this reveal? yeah, I didn't think so.

eta: I totally won the ficathon wordcount olympics. Gold medal for plotty wordiness to me! ;)

Written for lostinapapercup which made me laugh and laugh when I got the assignment. And then I felt bad because my two first attempts were really terrible. First I tried a Sam-tells-Kara-on-Demetrius, but Kara-on-Demetrius and all those Cylon haters on board kept dragging that into a whirlpool of misery. Then I tried a different thing, which I might still do, which was kind of a high concept thing that wouldn't come together. And time was running out for the deadline (this was, of course, after i'd frittered away an entire MONTH of extra time)

But I did have this little snippet in my random BSG crap folder which was Kara and Sam trying to get out of the detention center and it falling on them so they get stranded. And so from that tiny snippet I built everything else that followed. And since I wanted to do something different than just follow the same course the show laid out (while still ending up at Earth), I changed a bunch of things, especially the beacon and its function. Because that would've been fucking cool, y'all. And some other stuff for fun, which I don't know, is kinda spoilery? I can talk about it in comments if anyone wants.

And yes, I punted the end, for which I am sorry, but that's because I wrote more than half of it, AFTER the deadline in that period between upload and opening of the archive!

ETA: Okay that was weird, while I was trying to crosspost, I got in the mod queue for both POD and BSGfics. That has never happened before. I was signed in. And now I'm not even sure it was for them - did I select the wrong comm name? You can't check anything once it's pending... SO WEIRD.
entertaining in a disturbing way: Can't be arrested for thoughtslyssie on August 7th, 2012 08:06 pm (UTC)
No, but when the recent spam bots were targeting everything, I locked down PoD--I thought I'd left people added to the 'ok to post' queue, but apparently not. (I sadly don't have access to the fics comm, though) Sorry about that, you're added again.

I was so going to comment and then I forgot to before I ran off to do errands.

Anyway, I find it hilarious that it was you writing for lostinapapercup because I decided it was either you or her who had written that one. (eta: which is also silly because it SAYS it was written for lostinapapercup iirc now, but whatever. My brain hasn't been all that retentive lately)

My glee on reading it is still pretty magnificent. =D

ah, well, maybe that happened at the other comm, too, it was odd they happened together like it was some LJ shift in defaults.

And over there, her username's different so that's probably why you weren't sure. BUT COME ON, it was long, it was an AU, and Sam got hurt. IT HAD TO BE ME. ;D

I'm so sorry you can't seem to escape me! But seriously, this story was a thing of beauty. Thank you again!

It was HILARIOUS! And then I was afraid it happened that you got me again, too, but I saw only one fic in BSG, so I figured my writer was someone else. But I did wonder there for awhile! Luckily I'm not requesting Kara/Sam for Avengersfest so I think we're safe from each other for awhile. :)

I'm glad you liked it really. It was fun, even if I felt horribly rushed.
