Although ff.net is usually the home of "why didn't you write it MY way" type comments, sometimes you get a gem. I'm still holding in a tab a really lovely long note for Road to Tartarus and it just KILLS me that they didn't leave a reply link so I can't say how much I appreciate it. :( Such a wonderful comment and really something like that makes so much worthwhile.

In other NaNoWriMo news I'm a zillion words behind after getting a migraine yesterday and most of today. Hopefully I can catch up tomorrow. *sigh* It's not my NaNo this year, so far. But I'll keep plugging away. I can tell you that I'm stretching my word count with really explicit sex though. :)

I still haven't signed up for Yuletide, which makes me feel like a slacker! Which, I know it's open til Sunday, but I'm usually ready at opening bell.

Alan Dale on PoI later!

I still can't believe I'm doing as well as I am at NaNo. The only other year I tried it, I gave up at 16k. Hopefully next week won't kill it for me. I'm hoping I can at least get a full day's writing done on the plane and to that end I've charged up the husband's Zune so he can watch Sons of Anarchy or Merlin or something and OMG STOP TALKING TO ME. ;)

Still up for meeting up while I'm out that way? If so, what day would be best for you? Other than Thursday, I'm flexible.

I'm still on the fence about Yuletide. I WANT to, but... Yeah. I'm going to go over fandoms today and see if anything strikes my interest to write, especially if it's not a fandom I'd ask for, like Once Upon a Time. :P

Yay for you cruising along! I am envious of your prolificness but it's really good that it's moving for you. I think part of my slowness is that I thought I'd solve my action plot on the fly and it's proving more difficult than I thought.

First part of the week would probably work best - mon, or tuesday.? maybe weds though not all day, since I have to pick up some things for dinner Thurs.

I will just tell myself that Yuletide only has to be 1000 words. That's all. NO PROBLEM *nods*

I'll let my sister know Monday or Tuesday would be best and we'll let you know.

Exactly what I'm telling myself as I sign up. *headdesk* But dude! The Witch of Blackbird Pond is on the list! I don't know whether to request it or to offer to write it! Puritan sexytimes is the best! :P

I feel a little bad about my offers - there are a lot of things, esp books, that I'd like to offer, but I haven't read them in SO long I'd have to read them again before even attempting to offer . Like, I adored Melanie Rawn's Exiles, but those are enormous doorstoppers and there's just no way. :(

like, even my requests are easy-peasy this year! :)

I thought about that one, too, but yeah. I can reread the Witch of Blackbird Pond and be good to go, but Exiles? Dragon Prince Trilogy? Not so much. (I'm requesting Dragon Prince, though. I have a huge poster of the cover of Sunrunner's Fire on my office wall -- how could I not request it?)
