SG-1 Cancelled.
So, according to Gateworld, Sci Fi cancelled SG-1. (Atlantis lives on -- apparently its costs relative to its ratings are still okay, even though its ratings aren't fab this season either). Clearly "200" didn't bump up the ratings much, not enough to save it, since I'm guessing that's why the announcement was held til this week.

Now I'm bummed. Not surprised, but sad. Just when the PTB figured things out again this season. hmpf. Are we still going to get the six-month hiatus? That seems even more stupid to put the back half of a lame duck series six months after the first half aired. How are they going to promote it to get anyone watching at all? "Here, remember that show that only a handful of you were watching last summer? Well, here's the rest of it. Thank god for fangirls on the 'net who'll at least spread the word to our faithful viewers, since we can't be bothered to actually promote it."

The funniest part of this? They only just released SG-1 and Atlantis to iTunes. Like, days ago. Wouldn't it have been so much smarter to do that, oh, at the same time as BSG last year? But, no.... SciFi - the cable channel that stays on the air in spite of their marketing incompetence.

"Caprica" better freakin' ROCK. Just sayin'.

All I can say is they got ten years out of it, that amazing for any series .
