An SCC Holiday Fic Fest?
It occurred to me while whacking down various fandoms for being too large for Yuletide, that Sarah Connor Chronicles is really quite big enough to run its own fest. But I don't know if it's just my own inner crazy person who thinks this is a good idea...

Because the fandom is good-sized, but not enormous, I'm thinking we probably need a fairly flexible requirement (i.e. people could request three things - but they couldn't be all the same pairing, or allow a pairing to be written gen).

So thus, A POLL!

Poll #1288004 Terminate this? A SCC holiday FICATHON POLL

Is an SCC all-pairing/gen holiday ficathon a good idea?

YES! and I will write for it!
Yes, but I've sworn off ficathons -- they are of the DEVIL
yes, I MIGHT write for it, it depends
yes, I'd love to read the fic
SCC? Is that the show where River is the robot girl?

What would be the best time to have the deadline?

Between Dec 15 - Dec 25
Between Dec 25 and New Year's
New Year's Day
Sometime later in January - we'll call it MLK Fest!
Some other time I will tell you in comments
Did I mention you were crazy?
Ticky thinks Yuletide Madness struck EARLY this year!

gah. NO, I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO DO, thanks for asking. *head desk*

Also, as a note, yuletide considers SCC a rare fandom, so LOTS of SCC folks should participate in Yuletide as well--more good fic!! :-)

well, yes, I know (assuming it's not kicked). But since everyone in yuletide has to request other fandoms, chances are pretty good that any individual requestor isn't going to get a SCC story at all. And that makes the Yule Goat sad!

But then if the same people are offering SCC for yuletide, I don't know that they'll want to participate in this, so... We'll see how the poll goes.

Any time in January would mean that people who were in college/university (at least over in the UK) wouldn't realistically be able to take part (not that it's ever stopped us in the past) because of dissertations deadlines and suchlike (which I'm, honestly, also not too good at keeping to, deadlines are evil).

However, I would love to take part. Even if it is in January. SCC is more important than a Film Degree!
