"Pegasus Project"
Awesome. This is easily my favorite episode in a long time.

Cam was ... what's the word? commanding. Yes, finally someone on the staff got a clue that Browder can do more than play a military version of Jonas. I hope they keep it up. he was also smokin' hot. His hotness even rubbed off on Shep. (I think JF's good looking, but I don't find him hot in that visceral way). That moment when they're both standing on the balcony? mmm... I need to cap that. oh yes.

Anyway, back to the plot. Because we're all about the plot, right? uh huh, I thought so.

Thank you, Brad Wright, for providing a tight plot, a clever way to get SG-1 to Atlantis, and a nod to continuity all the way back to "Matter of Time." And also a big thank you, for having somebody finally point out what hypocritical bastards the Ascended/Others are. They've been bugging the crap out of me for at least two seasons now, and at last Daniel and Vala both said what I've been thinking all along. A little interference is okay, but not actually giving help? Where's the line and why do they draw it there? It's completely arbitrary. And yes, I wrote two fics trying to get it out of my system, and clearly, I still have issues...

So, yay, Daniel and Vala!

Brad also gets cookies for using linguistic drift, although considering this is a show where they shouldn't be able to really talk to anyone, ever, it was kind of ironically funny.

But oh, speaking of the funny.... "THE LEMON OF DOOOOOOM!"

Mitchell can stay on Atlantis to smack Rodney around all he likes. oh yes. Even Shep was in on it, which was awesome (though it made me a little nervous for the reaction of the McShep horde... eek).

And Michael Shanks really sold it all episode long, from the opening to the final, heart-breaking "We're alone." Lovely.

Though I do wonder whether Daniel and Weir had a hot fling that went sour, just after Siege III or something-- they were being highly formal with each other that they weren't before. Down bunny!

Teal'c was so proud of himself at the end. I love it when CJ smiles, it's so gorgeous. And maybe because it's so rare, his smile seems more precious, somehow, if that makes sense.

Gosh, what else?

I still can't stand the CO of the Odyssey. I refuse to even remember his name. Actually I kind of hate the Odyssey, deus ex machina that it is and I wish they'd blow it up and stop using it as a crutch. Weakening shields, not enough power, blah blah, I saw it all on Star Trek, guys, and it wasn't that frelling exciting back then.

and oh, oh, next week?

BAAL.

Yes!
